Originally written for the 2024 Stage Struck festival, 3rd Beet revamped the show and brought a new and improved version to the 2026 Edmonton Fringe Festival, where they received glowing reviews, including 4.5 star review from the Edmonton Journal
 
This fast-paced, original, regency-era romantic comedy shares the story of Miss Eliza, who is eyeing up the catch of the season and, despite her aunt’s guidance that he tends to ‘prefer the company of men,’ she is determined to marry Mr. Ringley. The following cross-dressing scheme leads to a wild journey of lies, mishaps, humor and maybe even love…

Just Business

was 3rd Beet’s first production. Presented at the 2024 Stage Struck Festival, it won best director and runner-up for outstanding production. The show was then revamped and produced in the 2025 Edmonton Fringe Festival where it received positive reviews. The show tells the story of co-workers Tom and Terry who find themselves with a shared secret after an evening together on the weekend.

How The Mighty Fall

As 3rd Beet’s third new-work, “How The Mighty Fall” was produced in the 2026 Stage Struck festival. It won three awards: Outstanding New Work, Outstanding Technical, and Outstanding Production. As the winner of Outstanding Production, “How The Mighty Fall” was performed at ADFA provincials, where it won Outstanding Technical. 

In this show, Ang and Dev are here on your shoulders to help you solve a moral dilemma. And they’re also married…Surely that won’t cause any problems.
